November's WRW & Your Hopes for 2025
Announcing this month's Well-Read Weekend and asking you about the classics you hope to read in the coming new year
Results are in!
For November’s Well-Read Weekend, we will be reading the classic play…
The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde.
A fun fact: The play’s full title is The Importance of Being Earnest, a Trivial Comedy for Serious People.
In this satirical play, two men (Algernon and Jack) lead double-lives as "Ernest" to woo the women they love. It’s one of Wilde’s most well-known works and the last comedic play he wrote in his lifetime.
You can find it here in the public domain, here or here or here in audiobook form, or pick up a copy from your favorite bookstore.
This Well-Read Weekend starts November 16th!
Grab your book and join in on the discussion the following week.

To do so, I want your help! Let me know what you hope to read more of next year. I hope to read a little of everything, but I’ll lean into the genre chosen by all of you!
