A classic novel by a Brontë sister
Last year, we read Agnes Grey by Anne Brontë. This time around, we will read a famous work by the older and more well-known Brontë sister, Charlotte. Her novel Jane Eyre is praised as an important and beloved addition to English literature as she explores the interior life and growth of her protagonist. The titular character is orphaned at a young age and grows to become a governess, to internally wrestle with the realities of the world, and to find love.
