The Weekenders voted and this month we will be reading…
Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf.
100 Year Anniversary
This year marks the novel’s centennial year since publication! What better time to read (or reread) it?
The novel is set in London, five years post-World War I, and follows the titular character, Clarissa Dalloway, as she prepares to host a party. She is on a walk in London and we, dear readers, shall walk with her. This story inhabits consciousness; it’s about life, about memory, and relations. It’s about the mind in as much as it’s about a character.
The book is widely available in print, ebook, and audio. It is in the public domain in many places and can be found in various formats here and in audio here.
